Vendors and lenders report to three business-credit bureaus. If you're not registered, none of your good behavior counts.
Do this
- Apply for a D-U-N-S Number at dnb.com (free).
- Confirm your business is listed at Experian Business and Equifax Business; pay the small fee if you want monitoring.
- Verify the listing matches your entity name, address, and phone EXACTLY (lenders cross-check).
Once all three bureaus have you on file, you're ready for Step 3.
